In this episode, we talk with Hartley & Lucy Plyler and Dr. Julia Wilkins about how disability gets portrayed in literary works. 

Hartley Plyler is a recent graduate of the Clemson LIFE program, which prepares students with disabilities for future employment and independence. She currently serves as an entrepreneur with Davis Donuts. Lucy Plyler is a social worker for the North Carolina Division of Services for the Blind. And Dr. Julia Wilkins works as a professor of education at Presbyterian College and is the author of the book Group Activities to Include Students with Special Needs.

We discuss positive and negative representations of disabilities through books, movies, and other literary works.
